Meaning:

O Most Beloved Divine Lord Sai Shiva, Thou art The Most Auspicious, Supreme Divine Lord of The Entire Cosmos. Thou art All Auspiciousness and art The Destroyer of our sins. Thou art Lord Sai Shiva of Shirdi. O Lord Sai Shiva of Puttaparthi, by Thy Divine Will Thou Brings out Lingams, which signifies – that by the Creation of The Linga, Thou has brought about The Cosmos into Existence. Thou Created The Linga, Exists in it and art worshipped in The Form of a Linga – which is a symbol of The Lord and HIS Creation. Thy Linga is Eternal, Inexhaustible, Imperishable and is The Supreme Soul, which is Magnificiently Effulgent and Full of Luster and Splendour and it is The Destroyer of evil. It is a symbol of Beginninglessness. Just as ‘Om’ is the ‘Sound Symbol’ of God, similarly The Linga is the ‘Form Symbol’ of God. It symbolizes that The Lord is without beginning and without end. It means That in which All Forms and Names Merge and That in which all Names and Forms are Proceeding to Attain Fulfillment. The Lingam is the fittest symbol of The All Pervasive, The All Knowing, The All Powerful, Everything submerged in ONE Formless Supreme Self Who is a Marvellous Phenomenon. (Shiva Lingam is The Merging of the Form with the Formless and because of the Oval Shape, there is no beginning or ending, so it Merges with The Formless. – Sai Baba-Shivaratri – 1971.)
