Gaja Mukha Gaja Mukha Gajaananaa
Shurpa Karnaa Shiva Nandanaa
Gaja Mukha Gaja Mukha Gajaananaa
Ek Dantaa Lambodaraa
Vakra Tunda Vara Daayakaa
Meaning:
O Elephant-Faced Lord Sri Ganesha, Thou art The Bestower of All Auspiciousness. Thou art The One-Tusked Beloved Divine Son of Lord Shiva, Who is The Supreme Divine Lord of The Entire Cosmos. O Pot-Bellied, Crooked Faced, Lord Sri Ganesha, Thou art The Bestower of Boons. (When The Great Sage Vyasa decided to note down the Mahabharat, he had a condition that only he who would write non-stop would be allowed to write it. Lord Sri Ganesha was the only ONE Who had that Incredible Capacity and agreed immediately without any delay even in securing a writing tool. HE immediately broke HIS sharp-pointed Tusk and got started, just as HE is ever-ready to help others. Hence Lord Sri Ganesha is called as Eka Danta.)
